Worship and Attention to the Body

"It's so good to worship in this community; it's always a highlight." — Program VIII Graduate

Worship

Each session has six times of corporate worship, including various forms of morning and evening prayer, eucharist, and a healing service.

Worship and music will be planned and led by guests Hans Peterson, Richard Bruxvoort Colligan, Mary Preus, Tom Witt Greg Berg, Sue and Mike Blair, other guests to be announced, and our regular staff, especially our worship coordinator, Myron Herzberg.

"This program is amazing and has been an incredible source of grace in my life. I like the blend of study and practice, of worship and of individual meditation time, of head and heart. I like that you include the body too." — Grace Institute Graduate

Attention to the Body

Each session of the Spiritual Formation Program includes two periods of body prayer for those who wish to participate.

Sister Marian Klostermann, OSF (Order of St. Francis), gives guidance and leadership in body prayer using Tai Chi.

Also available for additional cost each session is a body massage by a staff person from Integrating Wellness, housed in the Shalom building. Most popular is a 15 minute chair massage.
