High on the list for people visiting San Francisco is undoubtedly crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. It is recommended that you walk or bike across the bridge, something we hope to do this Sunday if weather permits. There is a reason the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most photographed things on Earth, so please do not miss out and make sure to leave time for a trip across the bridge.

Head down to the waterfront and walk along Fisherman’s Wharf. Pier 39 found along Fisherman’s Wharf is a popular tourist attraction that can be rather busy and an exciting time and ranks as the third most visited tourist attraction in America. The Wharf falls close to Chinatown and the Embarcadero (other must see spots), so if you have time head on down and check out the Wharf. 

Maybe if you have time and a few extra dollars stop in at the Exploratorium. The Exploratorium is bound to make you feel like you’re a kid again, with endless interactive activities that has never made science look cooler.

Maybe you want the hidden gems that the other tourists may miss out on. In that case, you should head into the heart of Chinatown to see the hustle and bustle of the oldest Chinatown in North America as well as the largest Chinese population outside of Asia. Head to Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory to not only see the amazing process of making fortune cookies but to taste warm delicious fresh fortune cookies.

Now that we are talking about sweets there is no limit to the amount of delicious sweets you can find within the city. Find your way to a Bi-Rite Creamery to taste some of the most delicious and interesting ice-cream flavors around. The lines sometimes find their ways outside, just let them know you are a first timer and they will make sure you try all of the flavors before making the difficult decision of which flavor to choose. Don’t worry, just make sure your trip is long enough to go back for the other flavors. 

Many need their coffee fix, and there is no going wrong with coffee in San Francisco. Many will give you different recommendations for where to find the best cup of coffee in the city, but you will have to figure that out for yourself. The Mill is a joint venture between Four Barrel Coffee and Josey Bakery Bread, insuring you get some delicious toast with your coffee. Some may call The Mill a little too pricey but others argue with Four Barrel Coffee and Nutella Toast, there really is no going wrong.

These are only a few recommendations I can make, take them or don’t, but never stop exploring and looking for the hidden gems. You stay classy San Francisco!
