Saludos de Asuncion, Paraguay!

Greetings from Asuncion, Paraguay!

The Latin American Theological Information Network (Red Latinoamericana de Informacion Teologica) is having its 7th Bi-annual meeting in this historical city of South America, July 14-18. Librarians and library workers from several theological institutions with different theological backgrounds are here to share and learn together. We have people from Argentina, Paraguay, Mexico, Cuba, Ecuador, and Brazil.

On Monday I had the opportunity to deliver a paper on “The role of Librarians and Libraries in a Theological Institution”. Besides discussing the role of librarians and theological librarianship the meeting is also an opportunity for sharing initiatives that are of relevance for theological libraries in Latin America.

The meeting is being hosted by the Instituto Biblico de Asuncion, which is one of the institutions that form the School of Theology of the Universidad Evangelica de Paraguay.
