Innovative Interfaces announces:

EBSCO Publishing has announced the new EBSCOhost 2.0 interface will be unveiled this Wednesday, July 16. This new interface incorporates significant changes to the way EBSCOhost displays information.

As a consequence, the connectors that allow our Research Pro and Metafind customers to include EBSCO resources in their federated searches must be reconfigured. EBSCO resources may not be accessible through Research Pro or Metafind for a period of time as we upgrade the connectors to work with the new interface.

As we proceed with this upgrade, we ask that our Research Pro customers refrain from making any changes to their SEARCH.xml this week. Innovative regrets the inconvenience this may cause. Your understanding is appreciated as we implement this change as quickly as possible. We hope to have completed the transition by Monday, July 21.

This activity may have an effect on those users who have recently discovered our new Research Pro tool. It shouldn’t have an effect on Encore users because Encore is not searching EBSCO databases at this point.
