Becky (Wedekind) Hanson is principal clinical quality and compliance specialist at Medtronic in St. Paul, Minn. She is also a breastfeeding counselor through Breastfeeding USA, serving the north metro area of the Twin Cities.

Jenn (Smith) and Pete Hoesing live in Sioux Falls, S.D. Jenn works with Stockyards Ag Experience and opened a museum at the Falls Park horse barn in February 2017. Peter is director of sponsored programs for Dakota State University and maintains an active scholarly profile in ethnomusicology and African studies. He has two articles forthcoming in two journals, Nova Religio and History of Africa, as well as a book due out soon with the University of Illinois Press.

Beth Pfotenhauer is the head virologist at the Milwaukee Public Health Department and founder of Traveling Microbiologist and Friends, a nonprofit that provides developing community water quality testing and training.

Jason Rude was selected to be a part of the Fords Theater National Oratory Fellowship, which focuses on bringing oratory to the classroom. Fellows work with teaching artists throughout the year and attend workshops in Washington, D.C., twice a year to plan and share work. Jason teaches seventh- and eighth-grade social studies at New Hampton (Iowa) Middle School.

Amy (May) Teigland earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Minnesota State University, Moorhead. She teaches pre-kindergarten at MSUM Early Education Center in Moorhead, Minn.

Ellie (Neubauer) Kuennen is a registered labor delivery nurse at Northfield (Minn.) Hospital.

Tyler McCubbin was appointed the Social Studies Department head at Colegio Americano de Torreon (Mexico) for the 2017–18 school year. He is also the United States history teacher, and the Social Studies Department head, and teaches an online sociology class through a program called the Virtual High School.

Paul Meyer earned a doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and is in the second year of his orthodontic residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

Ufra Mir is a peace psychologist in the Kashmir region of India and works with women and children through her nongovernmental organization, Paigaam: A Message for Peace, and as a counselor at a private school.
