SHOC has been involved with Luther's Caf to Community program this fall and into Jterm.
SHOC members helped raise money for the Northeast Iowa Backpack program which helps provide amenities to food insecure students in the Decorah area.
On Sunday, November 2nd, SHOC members picked up non-perishable food items from Decorah neighborhoods which was donated to Decorah First Lutheran's Food Pantry. Peanut Butter collected from the event was donated to the Northeast Iowa's backpack program.
SHOC members teamed up with Decorah Human Powered Trails to help re-route a section of River Trail!
SHOC had its first meeting of the semester on Tuesday, September 16th.
Custodian Appreciation Day (CAD) is an acknowledgement and celebration of the essential work provided by our custodial staff.
On Monday, March 3rd, six SHOC members teamed up with the sustainability department through the Caf to Community program.
A group of SHOC members helped move the 26 boxes of clothes collected from the C4S clothing drive in the fall from Brunsdale storage to the bottom of Miller and loaded them into a semi-truck which will take them to C4S headquarters for redistribution.
On Sunday February 23rd, SHOC members Tricia Serres, Cole Puffer and Sophia Ristau helped out at the PALS activity day!
On Tuesday, February 18th SHOC held its’ first meeting of the Spring Semester. We’re looking forward to a fun-filled semester with many opportunities to help out our community through volunteerism!
A group of SHOC members helped spread Christmas cheer by purchasing presents for a local family.
On Tuesday, November 19th SHOCers worked hard sorting, folding and packaging the clothes received during the C4S clothing drive.
