Prof. Jon Jensen, with Luther seniors Piper Wood, Carina Hansen, and Jonathan Rivera, will discuss how communities can increase resilience and prepare for social and environmental changes in the twenty-first century. • Attention International Students who are seniors!
  If you are graduating this semester and plan to apply for OPT, now is the time to begin the process. The information you need for the process is available at: https://www.luther.edu/diversity/information/international-info/current-students/opt/. When you have all the required documents, please email [email protected] for a review before mailing.
  If your program end date on your I-20 is May 2021 BUT you still have course(s) to take to complete all of your degree requirement, make an appointment to talk with Wintlett ([email protected]) about this NOW. Do not wait.
• This Monday, April 12th we are offering FREE haircuts by a highly experienced barber who owns barber shops in Rochester and Winona, MN.  Luther is partnering with ClipDart, an organization that helps barbers come to you. On Monday, April 12th from 9-5 pm, Gil Jordan IV, will be on our campus to give haircuts. He has capacity for seven (7) students. Mr. Jordan has 20+ years of experience cutting hair and will get you feeling fresh and ready to finish up the semester.
  With only 7 slots available, appointments are going fast! Click here to sign up for a time as soon as possible. Once the slots are filled, we will email you with information about where to go on campus to get your haircut. If you received a haircut on March 29th, you are welcome to sign up again, however, priority will go to students who have not had their haircut yet.
• Feeling isolated dealing with mental health challenges? You're definitely not alone. A NAMI Connection support group for Luther students is meeting virtually on Saturdays at 1:30 pm, starting April 10th. The group is led by other students who have personal experience with mental health conditions. To get the Google Meet link, please fill out this form. Contact [email protected] with any questions.

  The Rochester Semester offers an opportunity to:
  -Complete an immersion internship (20 hrs/week onsite) that is developed with your interests in mind
  -Take a place-based, community-integrated Paideia II course and a course that integrates your academic and career development
  -Live in community in downtown Rochester and radically collaborate with your Luther peers in this shared experience

Monday, April 12, 2021 7:30-8:30pm.  Join activist, educator, and author DeRay Mckesson speaking on his journey from middle school math teacher to acclaimed civil rights leader and police reform advocate. DeRay will share the lessons he learned from the streets of Ferguson, the jail cells of Baton Rouge, and the West Wing of the White House. In conversation with Margarita Luna, DeRay will answer questions about the future of community organizing, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Black and Brown communities, and the possibility of ending police violence in the United States.
