My wife, Bridgette, and I are the proud parents of 4 great children and a great son-in-law!

• Olivia is a 2016 Luther College Graduate and 4th Year Dental School student at the University of Iowa. We are thrilled she also married a Luther College Graduate, Brian Paulsrud.  
• Cecilia is a 2018 Luther College Graduate and is using her Luther Math/Stats degree as a Statistical Analyst in cancer research at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. 
• Isaiah is a senior at Luther College...and yes, he is wrestling! Isaiah was a an Academic All-Conference recipient for the American Rivers Conference last year and a multiple-time Dean's List honoree.
• Elijah will be a freshmen at Luther College this fall...and yes, he is also wrestling! Elijah was an Academic All-State Football player and Academic All-State Wrestler for Decorah High School.

Growing up as the youngest of 8 children on a farm outside of Riceville, Iowa, I was raised in a setting where Midwestern values, work ethic, faith, and family were emphasized. We worked together and celebrated accomplishments together. That example was set by our parents, and carried out by my older siblings. I feel fortunate to have had those values instilled in me by my parents and siblings.

Bridgette and I have worked to provide a similar environment for our kids.  We share household duties (though Bridgette does much more than the rest of us!), we take family vacations together each year, we cheer each other on at our numerous sporting and musical events, and we stay in close contact weekly.  Bridgette is the steady beacon in our family who gets us all to where we need to be in our very busy schedules!

In addition, our family is an integral part of the Luther College Wrestling family. Whether it is working at our summer camps or cheering the Norse on at the NCAA Championships, our family lives Luther Wrestling! I wouldn't want it any other way!
