Wednesday, February 24 - How I Left the Interfaith Movement and Found Interfaith Solidarity. 7pm, via Zoom. Dr. Edward Curtis, Millennium Chair of the Liberal Arts and professor of religious studies at IUPUI, will give the lecture and invite conversation on the broader theme of interfaith activism in light of his own disappointing discoveries about corporate and foundation-funded interfaith movements in the United States. He will also address how these discoveries ultimately opened the way for him to focus more of his energy on Black, Muslim and Palestinian liberation. Event link
Thursday, February 25 - Virtual Screening, “I Am Not Your Negro." All day, via Kanopy. 2021 Womanist Conference (virtual), sponsored by the Katie Geneva Cannon Center for Womanist Leadership (KGCCWL) is April 8 - 10, 2021. Womanism celebrates more than thirty years as a prophetic social movement that takes the liberation, survival, and thriving of Black women seriously. As we look to the future, KGCCWL seeks to support Black women in cultivating new pathways for whole communities. More information here.

Changes in how CIES will be handling OPT applications spring 2021 and beyond: Seniors who are planning to apply for OPT will now have to use the information on the website to prepare their application: https://www.luther.edu/diversity/information/international-info/current-students/opt/.
When you are ready to file the application, you will make an appointment with Wintlett to review the materials and ensure that you have everything required. Use the checklist on the site to do your own review before making the appointment. Each appointment will be about 30 minutes.

Join Catalyze for the FAFSA Renewal Workshop Tuesday, February 23rd from 9:45-10:45 via Zoom. We encourage you to use this time to get your FAFSA completed! Once you have filled out your FAFSA, you will be entered 3 times for a chance to win a prize. If you meet with your Catalyze coach this month, you will get entered an additional 2 times! 3 participants will be awarded a prize which include: tech gadgets, self-care gift basket, and a free drink from Impact.
