- Changes in how CIES will be handling OPT applications spring 2021 and beyond: Seniors who are planning to apply for OPT will now have to use the information on the website to prepare their application: https://www.luther.edu/diversity/information/international-info/current-students/opt/.
When you are ready to file the application, you will make an appointment with Wintlett to review the materials and ensure that you have everything required. Use the checklist on the site to do your own review before making the appointment. Each appointment will be about 30 minutes.
- International Student Registration: Please remember that you must be registered for a minimum of 12 credits to satisfy your F-1 visa status.

- Tax Workshop Update. International students who worked during 2020 have begun receiving your W-2 forms for tax purposes. CIES will be hosting a few tax workshops to assist you with filing your returns. These will NOT begin until March. When we create the schedule, we will share it with you.
