Joseph Callaghan Rugby Endowed Fund

Established by alumni and friends of the rugby program, in recognition of the loyalty and support of Dr. Joseph Callaghan for the Luther College Rugby program, and in appreciation of the quality of his leadership and coaching and his contribution to the education and character development of student-athletes, to support and assist with payment of club travel expenses, equipment, clothing or other necessary expenditures for the Men's Rugby program.

Dennis A. Day and Delbert D. Day Golf Endowment

Established by Dennis A. Day, class of 1965, to provide support for the college golf program.

Charles and Suzanne Enge Endowed Tennis Fund

Established by Charles Enge, class of 1958, to provide support for the Men's and Women's tennis teams at Luther College. (Deferred Fund)

Carol Johnson Endowment for Women’s Athletics

Established by Carol Johnson '72, this fund shall be used to support any and all aspects related to women's athletics, including, but not limited to: program support, travel, equipment purchases, and recruitment. (Deferred)

Rich and Penny Leake Endowed Tennis Fund

Established by Luther College tennis alumni and friends in recognition of Rich and Penny Leake's contribution to the Luther College tennis program over 20 years, and in appreciation of the quality of Rich's leadership and coaching of student-athletes and Penny's help and support of those endeavors. This fund supports the cost of activities, projects, materials, and equipment which enhance the intercollegiate tennis program at Luther.

Luther College Endowed Fund for Men and Women's Track and Field

Established by Michael ’65 and Karen (Wardell) Austad ’64, in honor of Luther's longstanding track and field programs, this fund supports the Men and Women's Track and Field program at Luther, to help attract, recruit, and retain student athletes, to provide an enhanced track and field team experience, and to help financially with the ever-increasing costs associated with intercollegiate athletics.

Luther College Women's Basketball Endowed Fund

Established through the generosity of an anonymous alumni couple, this fund provides support to the women's basketball program.

Doug Mello Men's Soccer Endowment Fund

Established by former players and friends of Doug Mello in appreciation for the relationship between the men's soccer team and Doug Mello during his tenure as head coach, and in recognition of the significant accomplishments of the program under Coach Mello's tenure and the significant role he played in establishing Luther College soccer at a high level, including: 6 conference championships, an 80-19-2 conference and 240-119-13 overall record, and a program that produced: 3 Academic All-Americans, 4 All-Region Players, 6 Iowa Conference MVP Players, and 57 All-Conference Players. This fund supports the direct costs associated with recruiting for men's soccer.

Norse Intercollegiate Wrestling Endowed Fund

Established in recognition of the loyalty and support of Norse wrestling alumni for the Luther College intercollegiate wrestling program, and in appreciation of the quality of the wrestling program and its contribution to the education and character development of student-athletes, and with the realization that students who participate in the wrestling program have the opportunity to benefit from special learning experiences that teach the values of self-discipline, goal setting, dedication, work ethic, self-esteem, competition, and teamwork. This fund supports team travel expenses for special tournaments and events, along with the cost of recruitment, equipment, hosting clinics, and other program expenses.

Gynther Storaasli Endowed Fund for Luther College Baseball

Established through the estate of John P. Storaasli, in honor of his father, Gynther Storaasli, alumnus class of 1911, who was an outstanding basketball and baseball player as a Luther College student. This fund provides support for the men's baseball program at Luther College, including but not limited to: support for trips or tournament participation outside of normal conference competition, equipment purchases, or other needs determined to enhance the teams' successes/experiences.

Women's Rugby Endowment

Established by alumni and friends of the women's rugby program, in appreciation of the many benefits that abound for women's rugby players at Luther College, including learning the values of self-discipline, goal-setting, dedication, work ethic, self-esteem, competition, and teamwork. This fund supports club travel expenses, equipment, jerseys, coaching, or other necessary and approved expenditures, which fall under the college's guidelines.
