Brandt-Preus Book Fund in Scandinavian Studies

Established by Johan Carl Keyser Preus, class of 1902, and his wife, Dikka Brandt Preus, as a memorial to the Brandts and Preuses, who in the pioneer period were intimately associated with the founding and early development of Luther College; namely, Nils Brandt and Diderikke Ottesen Brandt, Herman Amberg Preus and Linka Keyser Preus, Realf Ottesen Brandt and Lettie Galby Brandt, and Christian Keyser Preus and Lulla Hjort Preus. This fund shall support the purchase of books for the support of the program and course work in Scandinavian Studies or its equivalent.

Breiland Family Endowed Fund for the Luther College Library

Established by John Breiland, class of 1933, and his wife, Mildred with the realization that library resources are essential to the success of a quality academic program, this fund supports the purchase of books, periodicals, materials, and equipment for the Preus Library.

Rev. Christian Hougstad Memorial Library Endowment

Established through the estate of Dagne E. Hougstad in memory of her father, Rev. Christian Hougstad, class of 1893, this fund supports the purchase of books, periodicals, and resource materials for Preus Library.

Jane Kemp Endowment for the Visual Arts

Established to honor Jane Kemp's leadership in managing, developing and promoting the visual arts collection at Luther College, this fund supports the purchase of works of art for the Luther College Fine Arts Collection.

Endowed fund for the Luther College Archives

Established to support the Luther College Archives to holding primary source material focusing on the college, its faculty, staff, alumni, friends of the college, founding congregations, and related Lutheran agencies. The Archives collects, organizes, preserves, promotes and makes available records of enduring historical, legal, administrative and fiscal value.

Endowed Fund for the Luther College Fine Arts Collection

Established to support and maintain the Luther College Fine Arts Collection.

Luther College Parents Library Endowment

Established by members of the Luther College Parents Council with the realization that library resources are essential to the success of a quality academic program, this fund supports special projects at the Preus Library.

Paul and Miri (Peterson) Mattson Library Endowment

Established by Paul '81 and Miri (Peterson) Mattson '81, this fund supports Preus Library through the purchase of library materials and learning resources for students.

Preus Library General Endowment

Established through the generosity of alumni and friends through estate provisions, this fund provides support for the operations, purchases, enhancements, and/or resources of the Preus Library, as deemed to provide for academic and learning resources at the college.

Joan Marguerite Tieman Endowed Fund for the Luther College Library

Established through the estate of Joan (Hanson) Tieman, alumna class of 1950, this fund supports the purchase of books and resources for the Preus Library.

Carol M. Witt Endowed Library Fund

Established by John A. Witt, alumnus class of 1957, in honor of his wife, Carol M. Witt, this fund provides support for the purchase of books and resources in the Preus Library.
