H. George and Jutta F. Anderson Endowment for Campus Ministry

Established by generous support of Lutheran Brotherhood, members of the board of regents, alumni, and friends of the College, this special endowment fund affirms the centrality of the community of faith at Luther and ensures ongoing support of the Luther College campus ministry program and furthers the spiritual well-being of Luther students. On November 11, 1995, this endowment fund was officially established and named in honor of H. George and Jutta F. Anderson and Lutheran Brotherhood.

Center for Ethics and Public Engagement

The Center for Ethics and Public Engagement aims to connect the intellectual learning of the liberal arts with lives of active service and responsible citizenship. The Center allows space for vibrant exchanges through programming such as guest speakers and residencies, brown-bag lunch discussions, reading groups, news hour gatherings, and panel discussions. The Center seeks to equip our students to develop whole, reflective lives by: providing and encouraging opportunities for sustained conversation about public policy matters, emphasizing the relation between the liberal arts and active citizenship, affirming and advocating the ongoing quest for truth, and promoting learning through active engagement, reflection, and vocational discernment.

Daryl and Audrey Erdman Endowment

Established by Daryl '61 and Audrey (Pederson) Erdman '61, this fund shall be used to underwrite any and all expenses related with Luther College's Christmas at Luther production. In years where there is an available balance after expenses associated with Christmas at Luther are met, or should the production no longer be in existence, funds may be applied to other musical performances produced through the Luther College department of music.

David and Camille Kundert Endowment for Christmas at Luther

Established by David '64 and Camille Kundert, this fund shall be used to underwrite any and all expenses related with Luther College's Christmas at Luther production. In years where there is an available balance after expenses associated with Christmas at Luther are met, funds may be applied to other musical performances produced through the Luther College department of music. (Deferred Fund) 

Donald H. Nelson Land Stewardship Endowment Fund

Established by Donald H. Nelson in conjunction with a lifelong passion for conserving natural land and preserving it for the enjoyment of all, this fund supports the Luther College Land Stewardship Plan. Luther College's land plays a vital role in its educational mission. The Land Stewardship Plan's primary goals of land use activities on the campus natural areas are: to support the educational mission of the college; to nurture a connection with place by providing opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and members of the community to explore, enjoy, care for, and contemplate the natural world; and to fulfill the college's responsibility as land stewards by sustaining and restoring the ecological communities placed in its care.

Curtis Reiso Endowment for Alumni Relations and Career Services

Established by Curtis Reiso, alumnus class of 1954 and coordinator of music activities emeritus, in appreciation for the importance of engagement with alumni to support the career development and opportunities for current students, this fund supports the work of the Alumni Relations and Career Center programs. The spending shall be used for, but not limited to, the financial support of visiting alumni speakers in the classroom, trip expenses for students to network with alumni, and/or applied learning experience support for students with financial need.

Curtis Reiso Endowment for College Ministries

Established by Curtis Reiso, alumnus class of 1954 and coordinator of music activities emeritus, through a provision in his estate, in appreciation for the importance, impact, and outreach of Luther College's ministries program on students, the campus community, and alumni. This fund shall be used to support and enhance the work of the College Ministries program.

Thorpe, Ylvisaker, Kloster, Running, Estrem, Quello Fund

Established by Janet (Fritz) '66 and Paul Quello, this fund shall be used to underwrite any and all expenses related with Luther College's Christmas at Luther production. In years where there is an available balance after expenses associated with Christmas at Luther are met, or should the production no longer be in existence, funds may be applied to other musical performances produced through the Luther College department of music.

Richard L. and Judith A. Torgerson Center for Nordic Studies

Established in recognition of the Luther College sesquicentennial and more than 150 years of treasured ties to Norway, and with the generous support of matching donors, O. Jay and Patricia A. Tomson. The Center provides a programmatic vision to build on the strengths and resources already available on campus in order to forge new ties with Scandinavia, attracting students who want to connect their interest in Nordic Studies with a range of disciplines, including environmental science and sustainability, immigration and multiculturalism, peace studies, health care, banking, political science, economics, and social work. The Center is affiliated with Luther College's International Studies Program and offers language and interdisciplinary course work focusing on the Nordic geographical region.
