The Clifford O. Berg Scholarship in Environmental Biology, established by Clifford O. Berg '34 in memory of his late wife, parents, family, and parents-in-law, shall be awarded to students in good academic standing who have demonstrated a strong interest in the environment, recognition of our increasingly urgent environmental problems, and aptitude in some area, or areas, of environmental conservation.

The Karl O. Borge Burger King Corporation Scholarship, established by the Burger King Corporation in recognition of the academic and athletic achievements of Karl Borge '96, to be awarded to qualified students with financial need, with preference given to students who are majoring in biology or chemistry.

The Renee (Anderson) and Charles S. Brown Jr. Scholarship, established by Renee (Anderson) '72 and Charles Brown, shall be awarded to qualified students with demonstrated need for financial assistance. First preference shall be given to students majoring or minoring in biology, with second preference given to students majoring or minoring in chemistry.

The Ettestad Family Scholarship, established by Peggy and Bryan Ettestad in honor of their children Amy '06 and Adam '09, to be awarded to a qualified female business major or a qualified male biology education major during their junior or senior year of study, regardless of financial need. 

The Iverson Scholarship, established by Vernon C. and Mary Ellen Iverson, to be awarded to qualified students majoring in mathematics, biology, chemistry, or physics who can show evidence of need for financial assistance.

The Ole G. Landsverk Scholarship, established by Douglas Lohafer '77 in honor of the pioneering work in health physics by Dr. Ole G. Landsverk '24. Ole G. Landsverk '24, was one of the five persons to establish the profession of health physics at the University of Chicago, Metallurgical Laboratory in 1943. The scholarship shall be awarded to majors in biology, chemistry, physics, or mathematics selected by the academic heads. Eligible recipients must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0, have junior or senior status, and be able to pursue graduate study. One of the selection criteria should be a preference for a student demonstrating interest in a field closely related to radiological protection. This includes but is not limited to: health physics, radiological physics, public health, radiation biology, environmental science, and nuclear engineering. Recipients must also have an interest in the humanities.

The David and Julie Larson Scholarship, established by David '69 and Julie Larson, shall be awarded to qualified upper-class students based on academic merit, with preference given to students from the Rochester, Minnesota area majoring in biology and interested in pursuing careers in a medical or health-related profession.

The Lorri Lobeck and David Shelstad Scholarship, established by Lorri Lobeck '80 and David Shelstad, shall be awarded to qualified students, majoring in biology, with a demonstrated need for financial assistance. Preference should be given to those students with an interest in neuroscience.

The Lovell Family Scholarship, established by James '79 and Janis (Miller) Lovell '80 in appreciation of the family's education and experience as alumni: Jim '79, Janis '80, Katie '07, and Beckie '11. The scholarship shall be awarded to qualified students with demonstrated need for financial assistance, with preference given to biology or music majors who participate in a music ensemble.

The Jana Elizabeth Nelson Memorial Scholarship, established by Cy '76 and Ramona (Feller) Nelson '75 in memory of their daughter, shall be awarded to junior or senior women in excellent academic standing (3.2 GPA or higher), with demonstrated financial need, and who are majoring in biology (or pre-professional health sciences), business, accounting, nursing, or education.

The Herman and Olga Hage Rosholt Scholarship, established by Robert '51 and Lucille Rosholt in honor of Herman and Olga Hage Rosholt, whose interest in conservation, sacred music and the church were inspirational to children and grandchildren. The scholarship shall be awarded to qualified students who can show evidence of need for financial assistance, with preference given to students majoring in environmental biology or music, or to students planning to enter church vocations.

The Roslien Family Scholarship in Natural History, established by David '59 and Joy Roslien and their daughter Jennifer '85, shall be awarded to qualified students who have a work-study assignment in the vertebrate section of the Sherman Hoslett Museum of Natural History. If no students are available in vertebrate zoology, the scholarship may be awarded to work-study students in the invertebrate zoology or botany sections of the museum.

The Floyd S. and Mary Lou Sollien Natural History Scholarship, established by Mary Lou (Schmitt) '68 and Floyd Sollien, shall be awarded to qualified students who can show evidence of need for financial assistance, with a preference given to biology majors with in an interest in natural history.

The Jim and Wendy Stevens Award in Biology, established by Wendy (Tessman) '69 and Jim Stevens, shall be awarded to qualified junior or senior students, majoring in biology, without regard to financial need. Students must show strong academic potential, strong work ethic, and have demonstrated exceptional competency and capability as a biology lab assistant.

The Terry N. Trimpe and Jason J. Nosek Scholarship, established by Terry Trimpe '70 and Jason Nosek '93 through the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, shall be awarded to graduates of Mount Vernon Community School District (Iowa) and Lisbon Community School District (Iowa). Scholarship awards shall be made to students who: a) show a need for financial assistance; b) have a minimum grade point average of 2.75; c) when the applicant pool allows, awarded to students majoring in business, biology, or any music related major.

The Arlo D. and Agnes K. Woolery Scholarship, established by Arlo '43 and Agnes (Kvaase) Woolery '43, shall be awarded to qualified students who demonstrate academic excellence, participation in extra-curricular activities, and leadership qualities. Preference shall be given to students who are majoring in biology or mathematics from Lake Mills High School, Lake Mills, Iowa, or if none, then from rural areas surrounding Lake Mills, Iowa.
