The Helen E. Atwater Pre-Medical Scholarship Endowment, established through the estate of Helen Atwater, shall be awarded to qualified pre-medical students who can show evidence of need for financial assistance. In the absence of qualified pre-medical students, the scholarship may be awarded to students in health sciences or pre-health science fields.

The Howard and Christine Barlow Scholarship, established by Howard '67 and Christin Barlow, shall be awarded to qualified students, with demonstrated need for financial assistance, majoring in accounting, pre-medicine, or nursing..

The Bowstead Family Scholarship, established by Judith (Bowstead) and Kenneth Nye, shall be awarded to students, maintaining a 2.0 grade point average or above, in pre-veterinary medicine or elementary education who can show evidence of need for financial assistance.

The William and Judith Davis Scholarship, established by Judith (Ream) Davis '62 in memory of William Davis '62, shall be awarded to qualified students with demonstrated need for financial assistance. Preference shall be given to students in the pre-medicine and/or education programs.

The Erik R. and Marjorie Ellingson Family Scholarship, established by Marjorie (Morem) '55 and Erik Ellingson, shall be awarded to one or more qualified junior or senior students who can show evidence of need for financial assistance. The scholarship is awarded in alternating years to students majoring in accounting or premedical/nursing.

The George and Virginia Freund Scholarship, established in memory of George and Virginia Freund by Jerry Freund and Ann Highum, shall be awarded to qualified students with demonstrated need for financial assistance who are majoring in nursing, health science, or pre-medicine.

The Dorothy I. Haugen Memorial Scholarship, established through a bequest in her Last Will and Testament, to be awarded to qualified students with demonstrated need for financial assistance, with preference given to students from Trempealeau and Jackson Counties, Wisconsin, who are preparing for a career in education, medicine, nursing, ministry or social services.

The Richard C. Hefte '53 Memorial Scholarship, established by the Chief Justice Roger L. Dell Charitable Trust in honor of Richard Hefte '53, shall be awarded to qualified students who have graduated from a high school located in Otter Tail County, Minnesota. Preference shall be given to students with strong academic performance and to students participating in music programs, preparing for careers in medicine or law. Richard C. Hefte was a native of Caledonia, Minnesota. He practiced law in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, from 1958-1993, when he was appointed to the Workers Compensation Court of Appeals by Governor Arne Carlson. Richard served as judge of that court until his retirement in 1999.

The Lester and Helen Hetager Scholarship, established through the estate of Lester '39 and Helen Hetager, shall be awarded to qualified students with demonstrated need for financial assistance with a first preference for students from South Dakota, Colorado, Missouri, or Lincoln County, Minnesota, and a second preference for students planning a career in medicine, pharmacy, or nursing.

The Dr. Marilyn Wilcox Hines Memorial Scholarship, established by Christine Olsen '78, Leesa (Kania) Thorgaard '78, and Suzanne Woodrich '77, in memory of Marilyn (Wilcox) Hines '77, shall be awarded to qualified students with demonstrated need for financial assistance. Preference shall be given to students pursuing a career in a medical field.

The Engebret Nelson (Sebo) Hong Scholarship, established by Anna Hong in memory of her father who graduated in 1871, shall be awarded to qualified students with demonstrated need for financial assistance, with preference given to students who are residents of Norway who desire to prepare themselves for careers in teaching, government service, business, social services, performing arts, law or medicine.

The Agnes H. Kittelsland Scholarship, established by her children, relatives, and friends in recognition of her unfulfilled desire to enter the medical profession, to be awarded to upper-class women students of outstanding academic ability and character who are planning careers in a medical field. Preference shall be given to students in the pre-medicine program.

The William and Carolyn Kobler Family Scholarship, established by William '70 and Carolyn (Peterson) Kobler '70, shall be awarded to qualified students with demonstrated need for financial assistance participating in the pre-medicine program. Preference shall be given to students who are participating in a music organization or ensemble. If no eligible pre-medicine students are identified, second preference shall be given to students preparing for a career in a healthcare profession. 

The David and Julie Larson Scholarship, established by David '69 and Julie Larson, shall be awarded to qualified upper-class students based on academic merit, with preference given to students from the Rochester, Minnesota area majoring in biology and interested in pursuing careers in a medical or health-related profession.

The Leonard J. Monson Memorial Medical Scholarship, established in memory of Leonard J. Monson, M.D. '29, by his family and friends, shall be awarded to qualified junior or senior students with demonstrated need for financial assistance in the pre-medicine program.

The Jana Elizabeth Nelson Memorial Scholarship, established by Cy '76 and Ramona (Feller) Nelson '75 in memory of their daughter, shall be awarded to junior or senior women in excellent academic standing (3.2 GPA or higher), with demonstrated financial need, and who are majoring in biology (or pre-professional health sciences), business, accounting, nursing, or education.

The Overholt Family Scholarship, established by the Overholt family, shall be awarded to qualified pre-medical students who can show evidence of need for financial assistance.

The Hamlet and Suzanne Peterson Scholarship, established by Hamlet '54 and Suzanne Peterson, shall be awarded to qualified students with demonstrated need for financial assistance who are preparing to attend medical school.

The Dr. Lowell and Mary Peterson Scholarship, established by Lowell '58 and Mary Peterson, shall be awarded to qualified junior or senior students in the pre-medicine program, with or without a demonstrated need for financial assistance, who demonstrates academic excellence with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Awards shall be given to students majoring in biology and/or chemistry who show interest in pursuing a career in medicine.

The Esther E. Porter Scholarship, established by Arlene K. Leslie in memory of her aunt, Esther Porter, shall be awarded to qualified students who can show evidence of need for financial assistance. Preference shall be given to students majoring in nursing or interested in pursuing a career in a medical or health related profession.

The Ann Rathe Scholarship, established by Ann Rathe '87, shall be awarded to qualified upper-class female students from Iowa with a strong GPA and demonstrated need for financial assistance majoring in pre-medicine, with preference given to students with an interest in psychiatry or neurology.

The Jean A. Sorenson Scholarship, established by Beatrice S. Huseby in honor of her niece, Jean Sorenson '74, shall be awarded to qualified students who can show evidence of need for financial assistance. Preference shall be given to students majoring in the field of education with intentions of becoming classroom teachers, or to students who are pursuing healthcare professions, to include pre-medicine, nursing, physical therapy, and pharmacy.

The Mark and Roxann Steine Scholarship in Pre-Medicine and Nursing, established by Mark and Roxanne Steine, shall be awarded to qualified students with demonstrated need for financial assistance, with preference given to students studying pre-medicine or nursing.
