The Donald B. Banks Memorial Scholarship, established by Carol (Lewerer) Banks '69 in honor and in memory of Donald B. Banks, alumnus, class of 1968. The scholarship shall be awarded to qualified students majoring in chemistry, with a demonstrated need for financial assistance, who have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher. If a qualified chemistry student cannot be determined, this scholarship shall be awarded to an equally excellent student majoring in physics.

The John G. and Mildred Breiland Endowed Scholarship, established by John '33 and Mildred Breiland, shall be awarded to students majoring in mathematics, physics or chemistry who can show evidence of outstanding academic achievement and potential for successfully doing graduate work in their chosen fields.

The Michael T. Feldmann Burger King Corporation Scholarship, established by the Burger King Corporation in recognition of the academic and athletic achievements of Michael Feldmann '98, to be awarded to qualified chemistry, physics, or math students with need for financial assistance with preference given to students from Alburnett High School or from a small town.

The Deborah '69 and John '68 Franke Scholarship, established by John '68 and Deborah (Lynam) Franke '69, shall be awarded to qualified students, without regard to financial need. Preference is to be given to junior or senior students with a double major in math and physics. If none are available, awards will be made to junior or senior students majoring in math or physics.

The Mark Magnuson/Lucile Houseworth Current Scholarship, established by Mark Magnuson '75 and Lucile Houseworth, shall be awarded to qualified students majoring in chemistry, physics, biology, and/or computer science, and is not based on financial need.

The Anne Lee Moilien Memorial Scholarship, established through the estate of Tim Moilien '34 in memory of his mother, shall be awarded to qualified students majoring in mathematics who can show evidence of need for financial assistance and who have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher. If no students qualify, preference shall then be given to a major in physics or chemistry.

The Jerrold L. Moilien Scholarship, established by Tim Moilien '34 in honor of Jerrold Moilien '28, shall be awarded to qualified students majoring in mathematics who can show evidence of need for financial assistance and who have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher. If no students qualify, preference shall then be given to a major in physics or chemistry.

The David Theodore Nelson Memorial Scholarship, established by Tim Moilien '34 in recognition of 42 years of service, leadership, and dedication to Luther by David Theodore Nelson, class of 1912, in many roles, including faculty member, head of the English department, coach, business manager, advisor to the debate team and other student organizations, and acting president. The scholarship shall be awarded to qualified students majoring in mathematics who can show evidence of need for financial assistance and who have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher. If no students in mathematics are available, preference shall be given to students majoring in physics or chemistry.

The Oscar L. Olson Memorial Scholarship, established by Tim Moilien '34 in memory of Oscar L. Olson '93, the third president of Luther College. Olson returned to Luther in 1901 to teach English. The first layman to become president of a major Lutheran college, Olson was chosen to fill the position after the death of C.K. Preus in 1921. Olson served as president from 1921-1932, and continued teaching English until his retirement in 1952. The scholarship shall be awarded to qualified students majoring in mathematics who can show evidence of need for financial assistance and who have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher. If no mathematics students qualify, then it shall be awarded to students majoring in physics or chemistry.

The William P. Sihler Memorial Scholarship, established by Tim Moilien '34 in memory and recognition of William "Buddy" Sihler, for his fifty years of service and dedication to the college in his many roles as faculty, baseball player, coach, author, inventor, composer, and mentor. The scholarship shall be awarded to qualified students majoring in mathematics who can show evidence of need for financial assistance and who have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher. If no mathematics students qualify, then it shall be awarded to students majoring in physics or chemistry.

The Carl W. Strom Memorial Scholarship, established by Tim Moilien '34 in memory and recognition of Carl W. Strom, for his role as faculty member and registrar. The scholarship shall be awarded to qualified students majoring in mathematics who can show evidence of need for financial assistance and who have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher. If no mathematics students qualify, then it shall be awarded to students majoring in physics or chemistry.

The Merriam H. Trytten Memorial Scholarship, established to honor the memory of Dr. Merriam H. Trytten '16, physicist, teacher, humanist, and international authority on scientific manpower. Dr. Trytten was Luther College student, teacher, and regent. The scholarship shall be awarded to junior or senior students of high overall academic achievement, majoring in physics, mathematics, and/or computer science.
