ARTICLES, CREATIONS, HONORS

Todd Pedlar published a new paper in Physical Review Letters, "Observation of ϒ(2S)→γηb(1S) Decay," (Phys. Rev. Lett. 121, 232001) based on an analysis he and his colleagues from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and the Belle Collaboration have performed over the past couple of years. The measurement described in this paper serves as the first confirmation of the discovery of an important decay mode of one of the states of the bottomonium system that Pedlar and his colleagues study.  The precise measurement of the rate and energy produced in this decay provide unique information for determining the parameters of the strong nuclear interaction, one of four fundamental forces known in nature. Contributors to this analysis also included Will Imoehl '17, and Josh Jackson '18, who are both pursuing Ph.D. studies in physics at Indiana University.

Andy Hageman published the article "Twin Peaks Backstory Investigations: The FBI Story, Directed by Mervyn LeRoy, 1959," on https://25yearslatersite.com/.
