Update profile information for Luther Faculty-Staff Directory (hard copy version)

Preparation for the print version (hard copy) of the 2013-14 Luther College Faculty-Staff Directory has begun. Faculty and staff should review current information and make changes as needed at the following link: https://django.luther.edu/printedDirectory.

Summer hours

Cafeteria
The cafeteria will close after lunch on July 25 at 1 p.m. and reopen mid August.

Oneota
The Oneota Coffee Shop will be closed Aug.13 in order for staff to attend an all day training session before the start of the new school year. Complimentary coffee will be available in Oneota dining area. Thanks for understanding.

Business card orders

Business cards will now be printed on campus at the Document Center. The Document Center will take orders twice a year as in the past at the beginning of the semesters. 2013 Friends of Luther Wrestling Golf Outing

Come join Coach Dave Mitchell and members of the current Luther wrestling coaching staff and team as well as alumni and friends on Friday, Aug. 9 as we enjoy a day of golf and fun. This event serves as a fundraiser for the Luther wrestling program. All funds raised from this outing will go towards improving the Luther wrestling team via competitions and recruiting. ARTICLES, CREATIONS, HONORS, etc.

Sean Burke, associate professor of religion at Luther College, recently published "Queering the Ethiopian Eunuch: Strategies of Ambiguity in Acts," a revision of his dissertation completed under Mary Ann Tolbert at the Graduate Theological Union. The book will be released on Thursday, Aug. 1. For more information on the book, visit here.

Luther College Nordic Choir to perform at North Central ACDA Convention in March 2014

Luther College Nordic Choir will perform at the March 2014 North Central Division Convention of the American Choral Director's Association in Des Moines, Iowa. The exact date and time of the performance will be announced at a later date.

Career Services interim director appointed

Luther welcomes Brenda Ranum as the interim director for Career Services for the 2013-14 academic year. Brenda previously worked in the Career Center in 2002-04, and since then has worked with the Iowa State University Extension Service. This past year, Brenda co-directed Luther's Nottingham program with spouse Professor David Ranum. She begins her duties Aug. 1
