Andy Hageman's book review of Tom McCarthy's novel "Satin Island" was published in the summer 2015 issue of the Science Fiction Research Association Review. The novel has been shortlisted for the 2015 Man Booker Prize.

Craig Mosher presented "The Ethics of Energy Policy Choices" at the Associated Colleges of the Midwest Symposium on Field Study at Colorado College on July 10 and "Doing Death Differently: Providing Options in Rural Areas" at the National Conference on Social Work and Human Services in Rural Areas at the University of South Dakota on July 16.

Todd Green delivered a lecture at the Tripoli Shrine Center in Milwaukee on Sept. 17 titled "Exploring the Causes and Consequences of Islamophobia." A panel with representatives from the African American, Japanese American, Native American, and Sikh American communities responded to the lecture. On Sept. 18, Green offered a workshop titled "Challenging Islamophobia: Some Practical and Impractical Suggestions for Overcoming Anti-Muslim Bigotry." Participants included educators, religious leaders, and elected officials. The lecture and workshop were sponsored by a coalition of organizations, including the Milwaukee Muslim Women's Coalition, the ELCA and the Institute of World Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
