Admissions counselor: The Admissions Office seeks a full-time admissions counselor. Primary responsibilities of the position include coordinating the recruitment of students from a specific geographic region, visiting targeted high schools and attending select college fair programs. Duties also include interviewing prospective students on campus and assisting with other admissions-related activities and events as assigned. Extensive travel is required and candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends when appropriate. A bachelor's degree is required, and applicants must have a valid driver's license.

Associate registrar: The Registrar's Office seeks an associate registrar for an 11-month position (.92 FTE). The associate registrar prepares and implements processes that support the academic program, including preparation and maintenance of academic records, registration and degree audit; executes academic policies as approved by the faculty; serves as technology liaison between the Registrar's Office and Information Technology Services; fulfills compliance responsibilities; and serves as primary assistant to the Registrar. A bachelor's degree, minimum of three years experience in student information database management in a higher education setting, and an understanding of a liberal arts college curriculum are required. Priority given to applications submitted by June 10.

Brandt Hall director: Residence Life seeks a professional, live-in residence hall director for Brandt Hall, responsible for supporting the mission of the college by developing a community conducive to student learning and academic success. This is a 10-month (.83 FTE) position. The Brandt Hall director will work with a population of approximately 330 first-year residents and 16 resident assistants. Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred. Position begins Aug. 1, 2016.

Nancy Gates-Madsen's book, "Trauma, Taboo, and Truth-Telling: Listening to Silences in Post-Dictatorship Argentina," was published by the University of Wisconsin Press as part of their Critical Human Rights series. She also was an invited panelist for the Latin American Studies Association Congress session "Managing Memory: Human Rights Landscape and the Road Ahead." She presented the paper "Silences, Taboos, and Human Rights in Argentina" at the LASA Congress on May 27 in New York City.

Diane Scholl's poem "Life Studies" appears in the current issue of Cold Mountain Review. Another poem, "Closing," will appear in a forthcoming issue of Sow's Ear Poetry Review.
