And finally...

Saturday, Jan. 10 is National Cut Your Energy Costs Day. Here are a few tips for cutting energy costs on a daily basis:

  1. Turn off lights in rooms not occupied, or consider installing motion detector lights both inside and outside.
  2. Use compact fluorescent bulbs instead of incandescent bulbs in lamps.
  3. Make sure the damper on the fireplace is closed when not in use.
  4. Choose Energy-Star labeled products.
  5. Use plastic wrap on windows during the winter months to keep heat in and cold out.
